07

Independent Facilitation

By providing independent facilitation services we assist with reviewing client’s certified budget, identifying an FMS provider, developing spending plans, identifying generic resources, and finding classes and trainings that best meets the client’s needs. ECRP knows that building partnerships with the regional center, small businesses, and the community at large is ideal because without partnerships inefficiencies to services will increase, limiting the participants access to services they choose.

08

Person-Centered Planning

We review the individual program plan and develop the person-centered plan by listening to what the client says their hopes and dreams entail. We want to make sure participants have decision-making authority in the person-centered planning process and that they know we share the responsibility in managing their services.

09

CIE

According to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA, 2014), Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) is defined as full- time or part-time employment where all employees receive minimum wage or more. Participants in CIE are hired in work settings which are fully integrated, receive compensations at or above minimum wage, and receive the same level of benefit with others who do not have disabilities. Our goals are to advocate for competitive wages and benefits, provide technical assistance, and support employment advancement opportunities for persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disorders. The objectives used to ensure our goals are reached include ensuring our participants gain access to high quality services such as vocational training workshops, career development services, employment support and assessments to measure skills gained. Our program is in full support of CIE because we value seeing clients being integrated into the community.

PIP

The purpose of the Paid internship Program (PIP) is to increase participants vocational skills and abilities. The PIP program also seeks to expand the depth of participants interests in a particular job or career path. The internship is an opportunity for participants to learn about the workforce and obtain work experience. The PIP is intended for individuals who are 18 or older who choose to participate in an internship program. The goal for the internship is to increase the participants interests in future paid employment, acquire work experience, and to be offered full-time or part-time employment at the same company. Acquiring transferable skills that can be used in any job or career, developing knowledge of self, and learning about building positive professional relationships are also goals. The internship is an opportunity to develop strong mentoring relationships. In addition to helping participants reflect on the learning process, as it is a valuable way to make informed decisions about life.
